Love Machine ....Getting There !!!!

This was going to be entered into The Show rod Challenge .....But, seeing as I missed the deadline with it; I'm just taking my time to really do it right. ..... I did another a while back & I wasn't thrilled to death with it ......Here's a few pics..... This first one shows the interior with the Flocking ( Provided by Dominick - Thanks Dom !!! ) - I mixed a few different colors, to come up with this peach, to match the real Van.



The Second & third pic shows the Headliner I made from Foam ( Thanks to Gary AKA Badseed & his great How to Posted Here......Again, I flocked this & installed an overhead LED Fixture ( a X-mas ornament, that I drilled out & installed the LED )

Seeing as I based this build on the ....YUK "Supervan" Model..... it was missing several pieces crucial to building a successful replica of the Love Machine ; I had to fabricate a few things; such as the candle wall fixtures



These pic shows a rough example of the Paint Job .....The Side pillar pattern was particularly tricky to figure out..... the pics don't show it great, it's a very fine pattern; it will show better once it's all sanded/polished




I tinted all the windows with Automotive tint, the shade of tint that the kit has wasn't dark enough.




What I really wanted to concentrate on, was the TV cabinet.....I installed LED'S & Fiber Optics......The buttons are Fiber optics, The TV has an LED; as well as the Bar ( which I fabricated) ....Telephone is from the Surf Woody Kit .....here it is Unlit & Lit





I Still have a bunch of "Adjustments/touch-ups to do... ...... I'm hoping it'll be done by the weekend....but I ain't rushing at this point this is one of my favourite Show Rods & I want it to be right !!!

Love it Rick. Here is idea I once thought of for a project like this but never carried out. Everyone but Rick stop reading this....Ok-here's what you do. You get a viewing lens from a video camera (there should be millions of these around) and you use that as a TV screen, running wires connected to the player under a display stand. OK do it. The model looks awesome.

I'm still trying to shrink down a Playboy Bunny to go in it Dave.....maybe I'll do that Video idea for some other build

Those aren't going to light up, I decided against it; cause the roof light would probably drowned them out

The frame & Motor are the same as the Little Red Wagon Kit, The actual IMC Love machine kit is pretty tricky to obtain ( & not Cheap ) ....sooo ....this is why I made my own; from the "Supervan" Kit
