Just something I'm tossing together.... Revell 69 Nova gone pro mod. Scratch built chassis. Gibson Sonny motor. Futurattraction photo-etch. Seems like most of this model will be scratch built or machined by me, or other aftermarket parts. Not much kit left in this one!

Lenco trans is a futurattraction part. came with photoetch handles too. I need to convert it to air shift though. and cut it down to a 3 speed.

That frame alone blows my mind, can`t wait to see the rest. Outstanding scratch building.

Rear lid done for the Lenco. Off to find some material for the adapter ring. After that all that is left for the Lenco is the input shaft and the throw out colar. Thanks for the comments guys. Paul Here's the rear lid parts for the Lenco. The drill is just being used for the mock up output shaft. I'll find a broken one and make one out of it. Assembled rear lid.... Now to find some material to machine the adapter ring out of.

Very impressive! No longer owning a lathe I'd be using my Dremel to pin out the parts from plastic. Paul

Got the throwout collar machined. Interesting thing, it fits the aluminum tube I installed in the block that runs through. So I am at a crossroads. Do I add the flywheel and clutch assembly or do I leave it out since no one will see it anyway.......... I can machine a throw out bearing assembly with fork and a spring. This way the pedal will work and it won't need a clutch flywheel yada yada. Leaning this way. Otherwise it's going to take a little bit more engineering to do the rest of it. If I go the flywheel route,I can machine a crank flange and shorten the rod going through the engine then go from there. See my dilema? Anywho,...... on with the pics.

I like the idea of the pedal working because of the linkage aspect but clutch and flywheel not so much. Paul

I know it is pointless due to the size of the model and such plus the fact that no one will ever see it most likely. However I am trying to get as much detail in this thing as possible without sacrificing scale-ness. Maybe I should display it with the engine on a hoist or something? Lol... Thanks for the compliments. So I measured the crank flange on my 340 as they are close in size to the Hemi which is most likely what the Sonny crank flanges are. (8 bolt flywheel on a hemi vs 6 on a 340 basically) On to the crank flange......

Got the front seal boss for the Lenco Machined and installed. Its purpose is to either register the bellhousing to the Lenco or the throwout colar to the Lenco. It also is the seat for the front seal. Paul

I'm glad there are builders like you out there. I enjoy looking at the builds. I however do not have the patience to do this kind of detail work. I'm looking forward to the progress.

Actually touched my own model for a bit yesterday instead of a customers chassis. Scott's (Futurattraction)struts and braces done on one side. Looks like the promod gods are smiling down on me as it all fit where I wanted it to at the ride height I needed it! Also installed a TDR 8.625 deep can (bellhousing for you kiddies no speekie race clutch lingo) It needs a tube installed for the cross shaft and the fork so I can continue with the crazy notion of a clutch and flywheel assembly. Front wheel is Micro Nitro. Not sure about it yet and I may end up making up my own wheels in 3d with machined rings. Main thing is I know I am on the right path and it all fits thus far! until the next update!............
