Howdy Everyone, Way back in 2003- 2004 I purchased a few 1-16 models from a great guy at ScaleAutomobilia , Andy Douglas at Grafton Australia sold me some really cool models and then sent me this Beautiful Tony Nancy FED Kit free of charge and only missing One Rear Slick and Rim !! I was blown away by his generosity and so made it a priority to do as best I could possibly muster when assembling this showroom class Dragster from way back in the good Old Daze. This one went together so well It was almost easy ? Very little tweaking with the body panels and I even got the Paint to sit down and shine real nice. Colors are straight off the shelf tamiya Rattle cans ! Amazing, Almost as if tamiya had this car in mind when they mixed the Production run colors. Additions include Braided Fuel/Oil Lines but apart from that she is box stock. ..........Ian..............Fuel 2 Big Regards...........Ian.............Fuel 2 Big « Last Edit: Aug 27, 2009, 5:28am by FUEL2BIG » Link to Post - Back to Top Logged

I've got one 1/16th kit. The two tone green car (Beegi something?) Excuse my ignorance. I'm scared to death of it so it sits. Hope when I do get the courage to build it that it turns out half as nice as yours. Fantastic results.

I've got one 1/16th kit. The two tone green car (Beegi something?) Excuse my ignorance. I'm scared to death of it so it sits. Hope when I do get the courage to build it that it turns out half as nice as yours. Fantastic results. Yes it can be a Tad intimidating going Up Scale, I have 1/12 and 1-8 !! Projects I have not yet started. I know from having experienced this ( and my good freinds as well ) 1-16 is highly addictive , the finished model's just look so impressive, the detail stands out a lot and in some instances ( Not All ) they can be a little easier on the eyes and the fingers while putting them together . Brent having seen your high quality builds I can assure you that with your experience and your eye for fine details you my freind would have no problems turning that Dragster into a Showpeice work of art. Here's a pic of the car in 1-16, I did this one some years back and presently building a Fiat AA/FA Chassis from a spare B&M. If you do decide to build yours please dont hesitate to PM me with any questions or concerns. The Color is straight off the Shelf Tamiya( I used a Rattle can ) so you wont have any probs with Paint ( See Pic In background ). Main bug bear with these Big Dragsters is pre straightening the assembled Frame and very carefully trimming and PRE FITTING the Body Panels so that they Match up with No Gaps etc. This one has the standard kit 426 ( Revell wrong engine ) but good quality resin Early Hemi's are Available should you decide to use one . TTYL.............Ian

Yep that's the one. Man, so nice! Impresive! Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I'm not one that everything needs to be correct. I just love slinging plastic, paint and glue and having a cool looking build to stuff in my display cabinet. :-)
