Another Blast from the Past This Grand AM body was Badly twisted when I got it out of the " NEW " ?? Kit Box, Spent many hours Repairing the Damage I left when Attempting to Straighten it. I have another Grand Body, I like the Shape of them, Some people dont, I've never seen one here in Australia. ........Ian.............Fuel 2 Big Here's a Pic Of the Frame/Chassis

I've been watching a Fellow member on another Group Modifying a Grand Body in 1-16 to Replicate Dave Sano's Screaming Insanity !!!!!! Awesome to watch what He's doing to it, It's a Real Slice and Dice affair but man the end result is gonna be something non too short of Sensational. I was thinking of doing the insanity car but I had'nt planned on doing all the body Mods so another project or two will be completed before I make a decision on it. Here's a Pic Of the Sano Car Many thanks for Kind words guys, Very Much appreciate getting Feedback from fellow modelers with this hobby and Interest we share. ..........Regards...........Ian

Wow! It turned out great! Like you, I have always liked this Pontiac body. Not so much on the street, although the 74 GTO doesn't look bad. It does make a great looking funy car.

Awesome build! Personally I didn't care too much for the shape of those GM's that year but it did remind me of going to school in 1978 with my friend Wayne Denet who had a Grand Am or something with that body style (could it have been a Le Mans?) anyhoo he only had one 8-track being Steve Miller Book of Dreams which I am still sick of to this day.

John, Man you sure do have your finger on the pulse !!! Wicked looking F/C, yes the SMBC Decals are not so great quality but they sure do bring that one to life very nicely.
Good news is these Decals should be Available in 1-16 some time in 2010 and they will be aTop Shelf Quality product beleive me.........See PM

These are some great looking builds ! I know I'm in the minority , but I always liked those big GM "mid size" cars . I had a 75 Grand Am, and I raced a '73 Chevelle and a 74 Olds Cutlass at a local track .Those cars were indestructable !

Gregg, That Means a lot to me knowing you think so Highly of my work, Much appreciate your kind words. The Decals on Johnners 1-25 Grand are from SMBC and not so good Quality,
Paul Rowe from 1-16 DragGinModelersGroup is currently modifying a 1-16 Grand Body to the Sano car Specs, I beleive Chuck Boerner will be Re building a much improved version of the Insanity Decals on his Alps Printer for this car.
The thought of you taking on this Mighty Sano Masterpeice is Mind Blowing so you can count on me to assist in any way I can.
See My PM Re More Info
........Regards..........Ian
