.......... before the AWB Chevelle or the AWB Nova ........... long before the "Professor" series of funny cars ............. Kelly started with a match race '65 Chevelle SS running in A/XS or whatever the "Run what you Brung" class happened to be ............ the car was powered by a dual carbed "rat motor" 427 backed up by a 4-speed .................. high rpm's and slamming gears ........... saw this car many times at Amarillo Dragway ........... was one of my favorites
