 1914 or so Mercedes Racer. This was a 1/16 Lindberg kit I modified a bit for this more modern hot rod look. The engine and rear tires came from a 1/16 Revell "Beebe & Mulligan rail dragster kit. The rear rims are modified from a AMT "the Shaker Trike" Kit. Front wheels are from one of the RM Kustom's kit with disk breaks from IMEX 1/12 HD "Thunder Chopper" kit. Tail lights are from the Monogram "Trantula " head lights. Rear end was made to look like a quick changer rear end by adding part of the 1/16th engine blower. The pipes - roll bar - head lights are home made. Paint is Tamiya Metallic Blue. There are plug wires on it but you can't see very well here. I guess they were not to scale. This was going to be my entry for the " Freaky cars " contest but I just couldn't get it done in time. So there you have it , another dust collector done.     |

Beautifully executed. And the concept really works! Nice color, stance and proportions (not always the case with "freaky" builds)! Great idea and oustanding result!   |
