I wanted to build this vintage kit, to see one built, box stock. I didn't like the color scheme or the decals. I decided on trying for a dried blood/wine color, and decals to go with the theme. This a fictional, "what if" funny car.
Decals by Slixx, paint is all Testor's- silver metallic base, 2 coats black metallic, 1 coat transparent red, 3 coats clear.
Faults: yes, I know it sits a little high, that's the way the kit is, and I built it box stock, didn't want to change it. A touch of orange peel, I got lazy and didn't want to go over it again.
This seems to be a kit you either like or don't. If you don't, that's cool- some think it's just plain ugly. Still, it's just nice to be able to keep building!
