Larry was a family friend who knew me since I was born. I was about twelve that I found out he raced cars, and I became a big fan of his and his two brothers who also raced . I built a few models to look like their cars too (they were gluebombs,of course). I always wanted to build another #50, but nobody made a Ford 2 door post until I bought a "Dale Earnhart's first car" die cast at a show. I stripped the paint, filed out the windows to make it look like a stock ford, added window straps, a better roll cage and interior ,and found the correct grille and bumpers in my parts box. Sadly, Larry passed away before he saw it, but his brothers did see it and were very happy that I built it .I know its not plastic, but its one of my favorite cars in my collection
