Well before I head south to Acopolco for my birthdayI thought I would post a couple of completions.
This is my last of 6 Cudas I have submitted for the Cuda build off on Spotlight Hobbies board.
All the rear body work is scratchbuilt. The chassis is a modified Ferrari F50 which donated the chassis, suspension, and tranny, and seats. The dash is from a Calloway Vette and the console is scratch built. The door panels are from a late model Mustang. The interior tub is scratch built as are the front air splitters.
The under nose was reworked quite a bit and the front grill was opened up as were the gills and all were filled with mesh work. The front bumper was narrowed to stay within the body lines.
The grill work on the motor cover is from an old Vette kit. The rear roll pan was shaped to match the aero work on the chassis.
The front wheels are Pegasus Fat Daddys and the rears were a lucky find on a Jada car so they are a step bigger than the fronts.
The motor is a hemi with a late model fuel injection style runner. The headers were flipped forward then solder was used to run to the mufflers then solder used to run to the tips out the side of the body.
Base color of HOK Solar Gold, followed by Candy Brandywine by HOK. All covered up with miles deep Urethane clear two part.
The removable hard top stores neatly under the front hood. The scoop on the hood is from the Challenger kit and is just turned around to use as an air outlet along with the gills.
The side air intakes are scratch built and have radiators behind each. Ther is also another radiator in the nose section.
And now for the pictures.
pedals were cleaned later
Link to the build and many more pictures.
