This is a build that I wanted to do since I saw the movie. It started life as a Revell '06 Mustang GT.
Some of what I did to it- Added all the armor, rebuilt the whole frontend, cut the doors open and hinged them to open and close, scratch built roll cage, engine out of the '08 GT500KR. There's more but thats all I can think of right now.
It's not 100% correct but close.

How much of the '08 GT500KR roll cage had to be modified and scratchbuilt? I want to build this project too and want to know what is ahead of me. Any advise on sources of parts etc, if you can say? ;D

Thanks for posting this almost exact movie replica.

The roll cage is all hand made. I started to use plastic but couldn't get the bends I was needing, so I used solder. It bends easy and if you mess up it can be straightened out to start over.

The mini guns I found on e-bay for like $7 shipped. Their 1/35 scale resin but are perfect size for it.

I looked for a long time for reference pics and could only find a very few that showed any detail. So when I first started this I was going off a drawing or something that I found on the net which is why the hood armor is wrong. After I got the body mostly done I was looking for some interior shots I found this site and maybe it'll help you out when you build yours, lots of great pics.
