Here is another long on the bench restoration. Took me a long time to find the decals. I think I need to print some more because it looks like I did not interpret the instructions properly regarding the rear frame decals. I did not like the lumps of sprue they called springs so I wrapped some brass wire around some plastic rod that gave me the proper diameter and I was able to get the car to sit nice n low. This kit has a lot of the parts of the upcoming covered wagon kit. Great tires and wheels will be in that kit for old digger restorations. There is a lot of Alclad on this one. I am starting to like Alclad better than chrome because it is not bulky on fine parts like plating is. Paint is Tamiya clear red over gold. The helmet is a light dusting of Alclad Pale Gold over black. The motor is that new Testors gold from thier first batch of colors. A lot of detail painting makes the kit really pop. I must say I REALLY like the looks of this kit much more than I was expecting.
