This is my first out of the box entry.I've always wanted to build one of these.Then one came along,sealed inside,VERY cheap..BAM!!!
I had the chance to sell it for big bucks,but I doubted the new owner would build it.So I did!! Got some very BIG help from my friends Joe and Harley who supplied the decals!! Thanks boys!!

This one was on my to do list for a long time.I had to wait for the re-issue to come out!When it did I bought 4 of them and 3 were robbed for parts and engines ;D Luckily one was still complete ;D

Tore the seal of the box this morning.Put it on the shelf in the evening!!! And throw it in the garbage tomorrow ;D ;D.....hahaha just kidding ;D ;D

since l saw what ramone built in a day
it motivated to try one for myself
this was painted a while ago l just decided to just build it with hardly any detail
total build time four hours not one of my best but sure was fun

since today was the last day of my holidays
l thought l would wold try another day build
again straight from the box minimum detail
the paint sort cracked up on the second coat but it sort of gave it a cracked affect so l left it
some black wash and there you have it
total build time 6 1/2 hours

Black Max

This is a boxstock build from my MIB stash. As I said earlier, I ruined the paint and bodywork, which I cracked as I was trying to install the interior. I started over, and here it is, FINALLY! Only thing I changed from boxstock, instead of having the headers enter the body fenders and exit the back of them, I rerouted them to come out under the body just in front of the tires; much better, doesn’t ruin the body lines. No decals. Paint is Testor’s Dark Cherry Pearl lacquer with 3 coats of Wet Look Clear.

P.S. Notice the difference between the boxart of the engine vs. what's ACTUALLY in the kit- look at the stacks!

Bugaboo

Boxstock build from my MIB stash. Decals looked great, but I’ve been burned before. I took extra precautions, 3 coats of lacquer, plenty of drying time. As I applied them, they started chipping, so I tried to hold them together, and applied plenty of solvaset to nail everything down. Basically, it all went to hell, even damaging the paint. So off to the purple pond it went. I repainted it, and put together some other decals for it. I never was crazy about the Bugaboo decals anyway. Paint is Testor’s Bug Yellow.

Horn Toad

Boxstock build from my MIB stash. Not all toads are green, and I always figured that when I built one of these I’d do a color change. Paint is Testor’s Boyd Grape Pearl. I thought it would look much better without any decals.

Dragon Wagon Coupe

A little kit bash, decided to make a sort of T bucket from the Dragon (Circus) Wagon. I cut off the chassis rails right behind the cab, cut off the springs from that rear part and moved them up to just under the cab. I used the engine and headers (reversed) from the Dragula, changed the rear tires. Paint is Testor’s Mystic Emerald Green lacquer with Wet Look Clear. Very easy, quick one day build!

Surfite kitbash

Just decided to play around a bit with the Surfite. I always wanted to do something nutty with it. Used some chassis parts from the T’Rantula, parts box tires, other parts box items. Built the headers from pipe and the exhaust tips from the Black Max that I hadn’t used. Paint is Testor’s Inca Gold lacquer. Just quick and easy fun!

Scorpion

Boxstock build from my MIB stash. Decals were bad, so I didn’t use any. Paint is Testor’s Nassau Blue Metallic lacquer with Wet Look Clear.

I was in a hurry to take pics while there’s daylight, forgot to take any pics with the opening rear of the body propped open- oh well. This is the last build I’m doing for this challenge (I swear! ;D ;D ;D ;D).
