1962 Corvette custom racer

I built this for a recent contest .Its an old AMT 2 in one kit. I wanted it to look like one of the cars that would have "raced" in one of those Hollywood movies like the "Love Bug" or "Munster go home" . The car has had all the trim and windsheild removed,and the wheel wells enlarged ,along with a custom front and rear treatment . The side pipes, hood scoop ,steering wheel and shifter are from the parts box to give them the period look. The tires are from an old Nascar kit,and the fire extinguisher is made from sprue. The decals are from the old Monogram Firebolt kit,still good after 40+ years. Paint is Testors Custom Laquer gold over white . Sorry for the big pictures !

Thanks guys ! I didn't win the contest, but I had a lot of fun with this build . I have to say this kit was one of the few that actually worked out from my mind to the plastic without major problems !
