The Tube Rat - My non-Showrod

I haven't said much but I've been watching the whole showrod thing with considerable admiration and envy. I think it's just human nature to admire the things we may never be able to do, and showrods are definitely one of those things that may never grace my workbench, no matter how much I enjoy looking at them.
But four years back, just a few months after I had returned to auto modeling, I built a model for the 2008 NNL West whose theme that year was "Cats & Rats" (cars with "Cat" names and rat rods). This was my warped take on rat rods (another thing I'm never likely to do in any sincere manner) which turned out to be a kind of show car that had been put out to pasture and was a little worse for wear.
Anyway, It's a Revell '29 Ford RPU body shell on a tubular frame with a Revell Parts Pack Caddy mill with a blower and 6 '97's. I'm tempted to revisit the idea today after logging some more miles at the bench with, hopefully, improved chops to show for it.
