Dad's 50 Studebaker

I built this several years ago as a present for my dad. Its built using a couple of old pictures and his description of the car. i started with a Johnny Lightning diecast of a 51 Studebaker Starliner. (it was the only 1/24 scale Studebaker I could find).Because my dads car was a four door I had to cut the roof and rescult the roof line and new B and C pillars. The front of the car was resculpted from a 51 to a 50 . I machined the bullet -nose out of aluminum. The interior was done from pictures I found online and the colors are from my dads description. for some reason I don't have a pic of the motor which was totally scrath built. The paint is Duplicolor Dark Metallic Blue.

Now that's a lot of work but you've nailed the look of the real thing. It looks like it was always a four door!

CAME OUT GREAT. I THOUGHT YOU FORGOT TO PUT THE DOOR HANDLES BACK ON. THEN I NOTICED IN THE PICTURES YOUR DAD SHAVED THE DOOR HANDLES. DAD WAS A HOT RODDER TOO? ;D
