An ebay purchase I made after a visit with Capt. Morgan: It was flashy but a glue bomb. And I don't mean flashy in a good way: The cowl which didn't fit and the rad had some big speed holes in them too: Don't worry dave Kapp is on the job! Here is the frame in flat white. Lots of flash, ejection pin marks and crap to deal with. At least this guy got the tricky suspensions glued on correctly! The body and grill with the ejection pin HOLES filled. I spent a lot of time dicking around with the dash board. I made it vertical but found out later, looking at a built one I had stashed that the dash (attached to long gone windshield frame) was meant to be installed angled towards the driver. A lot of melted glue slopped on the passenger side of the body which needed sanding too.

Take it from me, starting with an unbuilt version wouldn't have been much easier. I wish my purchase had been a drunken one, at least I would have had an excuse for the thing gathering dust all these years!

OK! Lets see this one come to life. There is a lot of work to be done to get it to the Kapp standard.

Got some Ninjas to come help "mock up" the body. These guys are great. Oh here comes Kai in his unrestored Aurora Spyder thinking he's as cool as those giant hotdogs behind him:

Dave, You are not alone with the purchase while under the influence. My bad purchase was 2 yrs ago. A Grumpy Jenkins vega built up. When it arrived , I was speechless,. It made your T ,look like a PRIZE winning model. Needless, to say, that after that, I did not mix E-BAY & PENDLETON whiskey.
Your T is looking sweet , however..

I was taking it to debut at a model club meeting where some guy parked his truck taking up two spots. I dropped it on the pavement trying to get out of the car! Never even got a chance to photograph it in its glory.

What a bummer!
Still, take a deep breath and remember it was in worse condition than that when you restored it first time!
