Got the wood painted tremclad for starters:

We got a roller:

The black on top of the stack is a bit of paint where I drilled it out.
The astute follower will note that the water pump is not "correct." I lost the one in the kit or perhaps it was never there so I subbed one from the parts box. Close enough to keep this project on track!
