Hi everybody, I built a lot of Factory Stock and drag racing machines !!!!..... But now I'm back on the short tracker market !!!! There is a new beast !!! - A 1963 Ford Fairlane LMS, Body is resin from a friend of everyone here, Fred of Fred Resin WorkShop FRW!!! with all the other parts just coming back from the chrome shop... The donor kit for the chassis, engine and alot of other parts ..... it's that one from AMT/Model King, 1972 Ford Torino, this kit offer the possibility to built as small 351 or or 429 big block!!! Maybe then, I'll choose the small block engine!! And for the finish, I use alot of aftermarkets parts, ( My Trade mark ) ; like this tire from Plastic Performance ProductCHAPTER 2........[/color][/i][/b] MCB Motorsport SHOP REPORT #2 18/02/2013 It's start again, & I'm coming back to my Fairlane, I assembled the chassis and roll cage today. And he still needs work !! I'll try to finish for my show in Granby on March 17th, but the next one to go, will be the NNL East in April...... the Fairlane was on the MCB Motorsport stand! I added two little brackets on the radiator support to better maintain the body in place. Ii relocated the front cage mount, I still to didn't like it ! I continued my work on that ! Nice view of the body on to the chassis ! I remove the kit fuel cell & replaced it with a resin one !! Nice with the hood in place ! Stay tuned for the next SHOP REPORT shortly on this forum ;D ...

MCB Motorsport SHOP REPORT 2013/02/19 MY build continues, today I was still working on my chassis. I install some additional hood support and scratchbuilt a bracket for the dash board! This is permits me to maintain the correct placement of the dash, because when you play with resin, you need to make alot of modification and , of course, alot of test fitting. Also worked on the two front cage mounts, I use Evergreen rod, he looks better now! This side view permitted me to see the new cage mounting ..... much more better with the squared Fairlane body! After, I worked to extend the rear section of the chassis; then join the rear bumper! That's it for today, don't miss the next SHOP REPORT on this forum...

MCB Motorsports SHOP REPORT 2013/02/20 Ok! This one is a little one, I just worked on the Fuel cell support, the fuel was in resin from Fred Resin Workshop. À partir de tige d'Evergreen je me suis fabriquer ce support! Here it is with hose and gas cap! I'd like to show you some other resin parts, as a preview to go on my Fairlane project! I choose a set of wheels from FRW with Plastic Performance Product. The rear end, of course it's an "Quick Change" type. The oil pan and carb. MCB Motorsports SHOP REPORT 2013/02/24 The project didn't stop, always goes up front!!!! I install a new Quick change rear end First i have to remove the older ome from the suspension part. I remove everything, i just keep the suspensions. With mt Dremel i worked on my part to made an half round fopr the differential housing.... And now he fit perfectely.... I use a super glue to gluing in place the suspension, for the application i use my faviorite tool, a touth pick... Everything is ok! and right on his place!!! I give some times to a glue for drying.... Step #2;With the nice resin part like my fuel cell this need then openned the rear trunk. When is open, i install fours supports pin to maintasin in place ther truck cover I know then i have a niciest gas cap, but he is too much higner, this need then i scratchbuilt one for Evergreen rod Ther my all new gas cap in place........ And the trunk copver close perfectly now! That is for today...... Stay tuned for the next SHOP REPORT soonely on this forum...

MCB Motorsports SHOP REPORT 03/13/2013 Hi everybody, my Fairlaine project was not dead, a little progress for now! I need to check if my hood need to be perfored, to give a place to the carburator and air filter. To give more stability to my air filter, i use an little cylinder, an air filter from the AMT modified kit, then i install un cardurator to give more stability to my very nice aluminium air filter (Parts by Parks) There is the result... But this need to made a big hole on to my hood to permit to air filter to pass. That's it for today.... stay tuned for the next Shop Report soonelly on this forum... Daniel

March 24th, 2013 MCB Motorsports SHOP REPORT Ok folks! Now my club show is now pass, it's time to coming into the shop to continiu my work on my Fairlaine. 1- Noe my propject need another donnor kit, a Polor Light Lee Roy Yarbrough 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler! This will also give some "other" parts like the engine, suspension parts and certainly some others! 2- For why i need his engine, when i started the Torino engine this one blowed up! No, seriously, then have a headers fit and this need then a scratch a headers and when i try to drill my engine block to put my hearders i use my Dremel and y totally destroyed my engine, the best then i have to say, never use a Dremel to doing that! And ol;d engine finish into the garbage bag! 3- now my former engine was in garbagge, i need another one and it'S at this time then my Mercury enterin action, this kit offer two engine possibility, a big Nascar Boss 429 and alson an very nice 427c.i. then just waiting me to be specialy built just for my Fairlaine project! There is the 427 partially built just for the show! 4-After that i decide to made other "modfication", i change the rear suspension for the one coming from the MErcury kit. But i have a small problem, the suspension lame fir right on the same place but the differential inplacement was différent, and this change my wheelbase. 5-Anuway, all problem they come with solution into the box, first i'm looking to built another chassis, but this need too much time, the NNL East is in 4 weeks! I will decide to relocated my suspension. 6- I glued two small Evergreen block and that be ralocated my suspension and of course the Fairlaine wheelbase. And now all fit perfectly, like dad into the mom!!!! (oups!) Right on the good place... 7-For finnish now, the today extra... my very nice 427 in place right on! The engine swaap didn'T to enlarge or le made the hole onto the hood, he fit perfectly!!! Humm very nive! I like it!!!Stay tuned for the next Shop Reposrt sonnelly on that forum!!! Daniel
