The Sand Dragon carcass was a gift from my good friend and modelling compatriot Curfew James! It came apart quite easily but the engine and running gear were too far gone for even me! The engine and running gear were supplied by a Monogram Stinger which I started a few years ago. I never really liked the design too much and I eventually lost the bucket upholstery which brought the build to a dead stop. The paint is Testors One Coat lacquer. It was not my first attempt, either. I tried purple at first but thought it was too dark. Plus all the little spots where the chrome came off the Stinger parts were florescent orange and they reallly showed up! The decals were from-you guessed it-Ed Kereluik's unused Black Widow. What a guy. The moral of the story? Never throw away your models and have good friends with lots of parts!
