Another vintage kit! I wanted to build something like the boxart on the SIDE of the box. I didn't want to use the flame decals; I put together a fictitious funny car for the Russ Davis Ford group; unfortunately the decals just broke up, so I put together something different. The window glass had tire burn marks, had to sand those out, tinted with transparent red. The hood was warped, I heated it up and got some of it straight, but I ended up super gluing the hood shut to make it lay flat. There are no chrome bumpers or grill, they are one piece plastic, so I had to tape off and paint the parts to at least detail that much. Headers are white plastic instead of chrome, and single pipes- pain in the ass. I added a blower to the engine. Paint is GTS Blue Pearl.
