Which is a '70's built, generator shovelhead with a lot of miles under its wheels, chips in the paint, faded chrome and a few oil leaks.

Kit-wise a Revell Chain Gang chopper gave up its gearbox, primary drive case, rear brake, and right hand side of the engine cases. An Imai Soft tail Harley provided the rest of the engine, oil tank, forks and the front half of the frame. The rest is all parts box stuff or scracthbuilt.

I know the combined clutch/ gear shift is a daft idea but once upon a time it was a common site. Then folks realised just how tricky it was to keep an even pressure on the clutch when you shifted gear.

Being a huge fan of realism in modeling I just love this build. It takes full advantage of the larger scales that motorcycle models are done in, and then takes it to another level of texture and detail. Someday, when I grow up, I'll build models like this. Massive thumzupz!

I love the mechanical ft. brake. The rear axle adjuster is great, love the hole in the axle, it is a nice detail (I gotta use that on my real bike this week )
Where did you get 1/12 fishtails, or did you scratch build them?
Builds like this, is why I have been a fan of yours for "Decades"

Thanks Jim, I think the fishtails came from of one the Aoshima Honda Steed variants - those really are great parts kits. The pipes were scratchbuilt though, I won't be in any hurry to do that again.
