l though it was time to get stuck into some of my johan kits l wanted to build this as a mild custom l wanted to try and copy the box art paint as close as possible still need to do the bare metal and some other details to the body but this is mainly what it will look like so far l have dumped as l could and changed the rims and tires the interior is nearly done the engine will be next which will souped a bit

got a chance to work on this the last week engine detail is nearly done l ended up changing the carb setup to a tri setup and also changed the valve covers also made a alternator bracket and made a battery box l still need to add the coil and some water hoses and brake lines l also used black wash on the engine l wanted to look like this car was a daily driver and not a trailer queen the interior is all done with a wheel from the parts box and some speaker grille l punched out from some fine mesh and a new shifter and added some flocking l wasn't really happy with the paint so l ended up striping and will think of paint later on still need to figure out a custom grille

How cool, I haven't seen one of these Marlin kits in a while. Yes, much better looking paint job. The dark blue didn't look bad, but the lighter color and the panel paint brings out all the body lines. Nice engine. That custom grill is looking good also. Way to go Joe!
Jim (kinda hard to type this with "BADSEED'S" avatar dancin around in front of me, I'm almost hypnotized)

Great looking build Joe, outstanding detail and paint. What did you use for the fuel lines? Looking forward to seeing this done.

Looks good Joe. These Marlins are cool cars, in a strange bird sort of way. Nice detail work. It looks like you distributor is 180 degrees off.
