This started life as Revell's Kawasaki Cafe Racer (which is a complete POS if you're interested) but has had all the typical period upgrades such as later model forks and brakes, mag wheels, expansion pipes, drop bars and rear sets, no air filters, box section swing arm, dropped seat and a fresh coat of paint.

Riding something like this back in the day marked you out as mad, bad and dangerous to know (as well as being partial to hospital food).

The comparison shot with the stock bike (built a very long time ago) shows just how far ranging the mods are!

Between the immaculate construction, the precise control of color and surface texture and the fine photography, I find it nearly impossible to distinguish this from a 1:1. Only the curl of the backdrop in the 2 bike photo reassures me that these are indeed models. Really impactful and extraordinary. Beautiful stuff!

Smokin Hot Build , The Mods and updated parts really do set this one apart from the Standard Kit cafe Racer, Fantastic work Luv all your detail work. I also Like the Standard bike, I had a Mach 3 back in 1979 which I modified, it had the dropped Bars, Custom paint and a Full Race Fairing. Great Fun.

Very Cool Harley,
I really like the Expansion chambers, the green paint and the clip ons. You did a clean build on (both) of these. Thanks for the comparison shot. What scale are these? I have the 1/8 scale version, but without a big Metric Bike parts box, I will probably build it stock, and be using your blue one as some reference. It seems everyone here had a tie to the Tri-stars, I too had a 72 750, that was prone to 4th gear wheelies. And that's when I got my first Harley, not much of a chance that happening again. (I don't like hospital food). So thanks for the memories and sharing more of your nice work. This is a very cool bike.

Thanks guys, always nice when a real struggle turns out OK.

The kit's the 1/12 version Jim. I've got some 1/8 bike projects on a very distant back burner but most of my parts stash is 1/12 scale which just made the conversion easier.

Who'd have guessed that so many of us have a Kwacker triple experience in common! I got to play with the 500 and 750 triples but stuck with British stuff - I just liked to know where the bike was going!

When I did the Superman get Off on my Mach 3, I should have realised how fast I was actually travelling ......Thing is the damn things were so Smooth and Quick it was'nt hard to misjudge a bend or corner , here in Australia they were often referred to as "Widowmakers". After a lengthy stay in Hospital i was fortunate to survive Minus a Spleen .

I had a Suzuki 550 triple many years ago, that thing would run like a scalded dog.
