I bought this reissue kit years ago, but the body was warped so I put it away and didn't think about it until I won an incomplete original on Ebay . That body was straight and came with the original psychedelic decals so I got to building. This is an odd kit though, you are supposed to leave the body as a two piece so you can show off the chassis, but they give you massive mural decals that you would have to cut up to use. I wasn't about to do that so I glued the body together, filled in the seams, masked the glass and wheel openings and painted it. This is probably the first time since I was a kid that I build a kit and painted it afterwards ! Decals were a pain as they were ancient and constantly curled up as I was applying them, but some Solvaset helped that as did several coats of clear.
