12 cylinder Corvair Funny Car

I can post the early in progress pics if anybody is interested. Johan Hornet Funny Car Chassis, AMT 69 Corvair body, Johan 71 Mustang funny car for the tin work I'm making for it, parts box stuff for most every thing else.

Magnetos and plug wires are done, twelve port fuel block and barrel valve made up and plumbed in. Belt driven fuel pump was made along with pulleys and a Chartpak belt. Made up blower belt tensioner and a 3/16" ribbon belt. Last part is the throttle arm and cable brackets. Chassis is pretty much done less fuel tank and wheelie bars. Body work is done and in final primer, engine cover tin work has the drivers firewall remade and the blower hat scoop cut down 3mm. Even cut the windshield for the blower. Paul

First car was a 1960 700 sedan followed over the years by over 100 Corvairs from Converts to an 8 door Corvan. Even 2 Crown Corveights and a Fitch Sprint MKIII.

The best time 7:63 @ 179.80 m.p.h. Total weight 1345 lbs.with fuel and body. Owners last name is Danner and based in Delaware.

It looks great ! but... I've been looking for that Hornet chassis !!!!!!!!!!! LOL . I have had an assembled orphan Johan Hornet body for years , but I cant find a junker for a chassis ...
