Now that's a great job on a really rare piece! And that engine, what a show stopper!
(And not all the pics are showing on your posts but there's enough to see a sweet paint job!)

Thanks for the thumbs up again guys - also, I forgot to mention I swapped out the wheels/tires & I airbrushed Moltow chrome on about 50% of the side pipes that needed plating.

Fantastic build! I have one of those but it is called devil something(?) Never realized it was a Carl Casper kit. The paint is awesome like usual. What did you clear it with? paul I built that Devil Vette kit a long time ago, did it light Met blue & put a sheet of red tinted plastic for the rear window - I loved that thing !! ( Go look at your rear plate & see if they left the Turbo Shark name on it- I can't remember ) Ya, they "restored" the 1:1 Paul, the paint is brutal .- I think it was re-done a couple times, the box & my version are the first though, after that, ….they put red carpet on the middle rear area & reversed the seat colors to white outside/red inner. …… The paint is Dupont pearl white (dry powder ) , mixed into HOK clear, over a pure white Dupont base, HOK Kandy red fogging, and for the clear, I used automotive 2 part urethane, BUT …..only because it was super humid here & I wanted it done & quickly - my usual choice for clear is always HOK lacquer, my second, next best …. would be the nitrocellulose lacquer. Lacquer is a lot thinner & retains crisp detail; and also gives you the flexibility/control to sand/polish/repair; much easier than with the 2K stuff..... in a pinch I'll use it …. but honestly; I'm not a huge fan.

Turbo Shark is on the plate. I use HOK quite a lot and have a 50 or more colors in the shop also still have a large stock of Cal Custom candies and flakes. Most all of my pre 1948 and down GM's paints are Nitrocellulose from Chevs of the 40's and Carpenter Ford parts. I'll have to try the HOK clear, I've been using Suntron Clear since the early 1980's because it didn't yellow. Hate all the 2K stuff and only use it when I am forced too although I do like PPG Delthane.
