This has been cluttering up the display cabinet for years and wasn't looking too pretty. So, I gave it an overhaul and, as it hadn't been shown off here before, took a few snaps. (It's here because Rick told me to!) The actual details of the build have been lost in the mists of time but I seem to remember it's an Imai 1/12 chop which I added a ton of wiring to, a Sportster tank and some upgrades in the braking department.

Thanks guys (although details may prove to be my undoing with the build that I actually started for the challenge....).

Cool rebuild! Like the shot gun pipes. Got lots of citations of recognition from the local authorities for running them and drag pipes.

CAME OUT GREAT! AT FIRST I THOUGHT NIT WAS A 1/1 SCALE. THEN I THINKING ABOUT IT AND TOOK A LONG LOOK AT THE RIMS. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES ME THINK IT'S A MODEL. SEND THESE PIC'S TO E-Z- RIDER.

Thanks guys. Yup, the rims/ spokes are always a problem with scale bikes. In the past I've tried lacing them with individual spokes which sorts out the width of the spokes but inevitably leaves messy hubs and rims. Perhaps I should stick to bikes with just a few big spokes!
