I mentioned to Rick that there were quite a few completed builds sitting in my display cabinet that, for one reason or another, I'd never posted here. He said: "Post 'em!" So here is the first of an occasional series (i.e. whenever I get the chance) of stuff from my modelling past.
Apologies if you have seen this before as I think I may have posted it many years ago on Another Website....
It started life as a Russian-made kit of a 1920's Russian truck. The kit was truly appalling in every way, and probably designed to put Russian kids off the idea of taking up a decadent Western hobby like model building.
So, most of it went in the bin and I saved the frame rails, cab (which was chopped), grille shell and lights. To that was added a SOHC, five pot, six carb, twin supercharged engine with an exhaust turbine (a sort of primitive turbo) - because I could! Twin chain drive to the rear takes care of motive power (and would provide some sort of differential action) and modern(ish) running gear tyres and brakes took care of the rest.
