This is the kit I'm building for the RWB challenge.
the first thing I did was fill the opening that the blower went through as I want to make this thing as close as possible to a real live streamliner.
In these photos I'm making my own aluminum panels so if you look inside the car it looks like real panels. I made these panels out of those annoying cards that come in magazines and in the mail. I just cut to fit and painted them aluminum and glued them in.
I decided to make some N.A.C.A. scoops (invented in 1945 for the aero space industries)so the engine and blower would have air for a blast down the track.
I built the motor with a front mounted blower so it'll be under the body panels. This kit builds like a aircraft model in the cense that all the stuff on the inside has to be finished first so you can seal the whole mess inside the car. I did very little detail on the motor as It'll be buried inside the body.
I did dome RWB detail on som interior parts just cause I could
Everything getting ready to go together. That's it for now. Later zilla
Here I'm making the front spoiler, the red part is from old brute force dragster. I made it solid by adding sheet styrene and glued and filled it with super glue and then smoothed it out.
Here I got a set of headers from a polar lights funny car kit and then cut them to fit the body on the digger and hogged out the ends to give it the right look.
here you see how I'm going to mount the mono strut wing on the roll cage using a stiff wire so it's removable & adjustable. Also I
put a mix of transparent yellow and orange to get a gold on the wheels to add some different colors to the finished kit.
All taped off & and ready to finally paint this silly thing THE FUN PART.
