Simple build; as usual, no detailing. Reliable Resins body, Bantam Blast chassis, engine, and tires. Headers from the parts box. Paint looks black, but it's a really dark, dark cherry. Slixx decals. This time, I included an in progress shot! And since I was doing that, I thought I'd let you see where I work- messy, sorry! Behind that area, not shown, is a large dresser/cabinet with resin bodies, binders of project ideas, and folders full of decals- Slixx, Fred Cady, Fremont, Special Appearance, Glory Years, Yesteryear, Gooche, and several other makers, and leftover kit decals. Another somewhat smaller cabinet of dozens of parts pack engines, tires, chrome frames. There are some parts boxes shown in the pics, but most are in bins behind me. Bottle paint and more tools are in the wooden boxes stacked to my right. A couple of airbrushes under the desk, two more with a compressor in the corner behind me. There are three large shelving units of rattle cans; some enamel, mostly Testors and Tamiya lacquer. I keep some kits on hand that I'm thinking of building/using in the near future, but most of the stash is in storage.

If ever there was a winning combo it's got to be a Beetle Altered!
And I'm with Rick about "messy", most of the time there'e so much crap on my work bench I couldn't tell you what colour the bench actually is!

Very nice work on the altered. The paint is slick. How much prep work did the body require?

Very nice work on the altered. The paint is slick. How much prep work did the body require? I've bought several things from Reliable Resins, most of the time they're not bad, this one was better than some of the Jimmy Flintstone stuff I've bought. Prep time on this one was pretty good; nothing to fill, no pinholes, just some trimming.
