[DAVE "THE DUKE" ARMSTRONG]

I've had a couple of these kits in my stash for a long time. Not really like most of the things I build, still, I had bought them because I just thought it was cool looking. Well, we're having a Monogram challenge, so I thought this was the perfect time to build one.

Box stock, I detailed the wheels, engine cover, panel lines, lights, and windows. This was done a couple of weeks ago, but part way through some of the decals blew up, so I had to wait for some replacements to get here- thankfully, they were just like the originals and went on perfectly, so nothing bad except the delay. Simple kit, it was fun.

That came out sharp! A simple kit, but Monogram nailed the proportions and shape and you nailed the execution. I have one on my to-do list, and it'll be a challenge to keep it clean and simple which is the way it should be built.

Good lookin’ race car Dave. Especially nice work on the panel lines, alway seems difficult to get them to look right on a white car.

Looks great! One of my favorite road race cars. Pop always had to pry me away from them at Bridge Hampton. Can't get over how good it looks with the light panel lines too. Paul
