I cut the Maltese cross out of the back window and made it round since it didn't fit my theme and it looks more like a 1920s truck should have. Without the chain drive the truck needs a diff; I looked for something I liked and ended up with the rear from the Garbage Truck. I didn't know it at the time, but the rear suspension braces are the same for both kits, so that was a bonus . I lengthened the running boards so they go all the way to the rear wheels by grafting on modified fenders from a Dragon Wagon. The braces are the stakes from the Beer Wagon bed.   |

Well it rained all day yesterday ; I got a lot done on the truck but took no pictures - but here are a few previous progress shots Upside down you can see the lengthened running boards with beer wagon bed stakes for braces . They worked like they were meant to be there ! I also got rid of the molded in transfer case shaft and added a "real" shaft to the rear diff.  _ Went through many seat fittings with seats ; the Beer Wagon has a tiny cab ! These were the best fit , and even at that I really had the sand the bases down and really narrow the sides of the seats  Front shot of the new bed ; the chain stops for the top are...you guessed it ,parts from the Beer Wagon bed ! The "wrought iron" trim on the sides of the bed are pieces cut off from the chain drive . I thought it could give the bed a more vintage look.  |
