I had this kit sitting around since its reissue (2007 ! ), and decided to build it as a slump buster . As it turns out its not really a great kit ; Its another one of those kits the factory tried to use existing tooling to save money .The body is just a stock Tbird from the 1969 Annual kit; the chassis is rather uninspired with very little detail. The engine is another story , its really detailed and has a ton of little pipes and fittings ,most of which are chrome. The bad part is the instructions are vague , there are no mounting holes for anything so you kind of guess where things go . The finished kit doesn't sit quite right either. With the engine right down on the crossmemember , the top of the engine still rests on the body . Since its supposed to be a funny car I didn't paint the side trim and marker lights on the body . I wanted to use the Thunderland decal, but the lettering is blue, not black like the box art ,so its now Big Al . Paint fade using Testor's Custom Lacquer spray and clear coated it. I'm glad its done, but I wouldn't recommend this one !

Now that looks sharp! I'd agree it's all a bit vague on the construction front, I seem to remember thinking that it felt as if someone had tooled up the exhaust extensions but forgotten to tell anyone else where they were supposed to go!

Don I came to the same conclusion about the kit. I started it and put it back up in the closet. Your engine detailing paint looks great and the paint turned out really nice. It displays nicely.
