I've had this sitting around for a while, started but not done, had some paint issues with it for a while, so it sat, finally finished it up. Like dark cherries, I wanted this to be a DARK Cherry Bomb. White interior with minimalist futuristic controls to compliment the dark body. Not widely known, the originals like this came with EITHER green glass or grey (and I don't know which they made more of, but I think the green is more common- but I have two grey and one green). Dark Metallic Burgundy with several coats of clear, built boxstock, I highlighted the large bar tail light with Molotov chrome. I didn't build the chopper, save that for another time. I think the dark makes it more sinister looking.

Looks like those "paint issues" have well and truly been cured! That's super slick 'n stealthy!

I think the first issue "Bombs" came with the green glass, then they went clear, and the last reissue was smoked . I like the choice of color in your build , it really changes the whole look of the car !

I've had my three originals forever, original boxes, not reissues. The confusion may be because one of the reissues showed a car with grey glass on the box top (but green glass on one side!) but it was clear glass inside.

And then there's the heavily taped box version I got at a swap meet that was a fast/last minute $10 deal - the guy swore it had the green glass & I had seconds to think, cause he was splitting - I took his word for it & checked after he departed the parking lot - ................. uh ............... it actually had zero glass or decals ... so I guess it was another variant ?!

You're right , I do have an original with green glass and one of the reissues that shows smoked glass on the box , and its clear inside. You learn something new everyday - thanks for the info !
