Here’s one I built a few months ago, wasn’t sure if I had posted it before or not, I looked but couldn’t find it, it’s something I’ve been wanting to build for years now but just never got around to it, back in the 80’s I worked at a custom paint shop where we would paint funny car body’s and drag boats, so I have a fondness for this style of paint, very 80’s ! This is an Amt speed/drag boat, after the body work and primer the paint started with a pearl white base, then laying out graphics with tape , then adding candy blue and magenta, some brite silver with some tinted black for the side panels wrapping around the back, then masking of all the color areas and spraying a black base with a blue pearl then topping it off with a 2 k automotive clear, of course it had to have a matching Amt Chevy crew cab to tow her down to the lake so I built the truck from a glue bomb $20 built up I found at a model car show, I may add a wing to the boat, glad to have it done, hope you like !!!
