AMT 71 Duster 340

I had high hopes for this kit , after years of owning a 1:1 Duster 340 , I jumped at the chance to build a kit one. While the kit itself is very detailed, a lot of the small parts have no mounting pins and easily fall off, and the glass has no extra area so it was very hard to mount it without fogging. The worst was the side glass that was too thick and wouldn't permit the interior and chassis to fit snug, so it all came apart again so I could cut the glass down.as it turned out, the chassis was a bit warped so it doesn't sit flush either, but I wasn't going to do any more work to it. Ok, rant over ! The kit is box stock ; the paint is factory auto spray paint Plymouth Bermuda yellow (Dodge Butterscotch) with a clear coat.

Don even with all the kits problems your build looks awesome, I’ve always been a nut over the real car but after reading your post I think I’ll keep clear of the kit .

Its possible I just had a bad kit as to the warping , maybe someone else here has built one that didn't . There's just certain things I wish AMT had done better on this kit.
