Rick and I had discussed this- we are going back to posting members' (past and present) builds in the header pic, as we did years ago.

Great first choice!
Also, I think it speaks volumes for the work Rick (and others) have put into the site over the years if you take a quick look at the sheer number of builds which have been posted here - pretty impressive for what is, if we're bring honest, a small number of regular contributors.

sure you get a few guys that post their builds and then disappear until he next build and not post about the other builds but its always been about of guys that enjoyed the hobby and not about the applause

"Isle of Man boy"? Nice touch Joe! Having said that, "Britboy" is geographically correct as well because the Isle of Man is part of the British Isles but not part of the United Kingdom - hey, every day's a school day around here!

Wicked cool bike! I just finished the Millyard Kawi Six repairs after the 10 month "trip" via container from G.B. to the States.

10 months? I know that shipping stuff can take a while these days but how could it take 10 months to cross the Atlantic - people can row it quicker than that!
I'm almost afraid to ask what repairs needed doing when it finally did turn up.

10 months? I know that shipping stuff can take a while these days but how could it take 10 months to cross the Atlantic - people can row it quicker than that! I'm almost afraid to ask what repairs needed doing when it finally did turn up. Apparently it sat in Liverpool for a month plus, than off Port Newark in New Jersey on the ship waiting to off load for almost 1 1/2 months along with close to 40 other ships. When it was finally off loaded it sat in the storage yard waiting for U.S. Customs to allow entry. The excuse was customs was short of people because of New Jersey's Covid lock down. To an other 2 1/2 weeks for the yard haulers to transfer it to the pick up area. Arranging to pick it up involved close to a month to arrange a pick up time and date with the "over loaded" port transfer service so I could have it loaded and delivered to Maine. In the ten months it was mostly sitting in salt air slowly gaining "patina" over the chrome, aluminum and paint, followed by mold and mildew growing on the seat and other places. I basically needed to pull it apart to re polish the aluminum parts, restore and replate some of the chrome, replace some of the rubber parts from mildew stains and finally have the seat leather and foam replaced because of mold. Final cost to repair isn't covered by the shipping insurance because it was caused "by an act of God".
