Now that I'm allowed limited bench time by the doctors, here is the start of my sand rail chassis.

Nice brass work. That's a whole different aspect of model building. I've never tried it.

Got the front end about 75% done with the torsion bar cranked up. I test fit the engine /trans axle and made up axle, wheel spacers. The sand tires are made from AMT plastic slicks rounded over and paddles are .040 x .1/4" Plastruct. Up On Wheels! Made up snow skis for winter drags too. Next is steering, battery box and fuel tank. I'm waiting for some .010 brass shim stick to make some body panels for at least the nose. We'll see how that goes.

Dusted on some color to check imperfections on seams and to see just how it looks. My .007 brass will be here hopefully tomorrow to start the body. Paul
