1965 Nova B/FX

Bought the new Moebius Nova "gasser". Cool kit but it is a current Nostalgia Gasser not a vintage one. I figures since I needed to back date it to olden days I'll make is a FX or SX car.
Dumped the new style wheelie bars, added a drive shaft loop and dumped the front disc brakes. Most FX didn't run them but ran dual caliper rears...plus the kit comes with spindle mount front wheels. Rear slicks are Goodyear Blue streaks introduced in 1964 and front tires are from the Moebius 1964 Nova instead of the kit radials. On the interior I removed the radio and heater, made the Bill Thomas dash pack, added a Hurst shifter with separate reverse shifter and added a fire extinguisher. Firewall I removed the heater box, blower motor and wiper motor. I modded the dual master to look like the 1965 Rambler "safety master" unit that was a popular unit than. Dumped the BDS blower and went to injection from the Milk Trike kit, dumped the modern header turn outs, went to a magneto and a cut down 69 Nova radiator.
Copied the Bill Thomas 1965 Instant Funnycar kit with the tilt nose, fiberglass doors, trunk lid and bumpers. Added door glass too. Paint i Tamiya Burnt Orange Pearl, decals came from show years ago. the Steve Kanuika Speed sponsored JUngle Jim's Box Novas and pre Revell sponsored Funnycars. The were based near Philly Pa. Steve also drove Jungles Funnycars in the early 70's.
