As I said in another post, Rick wanted me to do more than just the cars, he pushed me to get back to building planes again, too. Just like he wanted me to retire and build more, well, I took a long time to heed his advice and do that, too. Sorry I didn't do this before, Rick. You're missed. Like I said, it's been decades, and I'm rusty. Also, I had to find another paint line to use, so new paint to get used to; I used a new (to me) cement, and a different airbrush- self contained airbrush/compressor. I LOVE all three! You know I like my cars shiny, out of the paint shop- no ratty looking cars. I build planes the same way, new camo, ready to be deployed, no weathering, oil stains, or chipped paint- I think those look great; I just don't do that. Well, like I said it wouldn't be perfect, but after the very long lay off, I'm happy with it. Hasegawa 1/72 Focke Wulf FW 190 Panzerblitz

Very nice! Paint is well done too. Where did you find the RLM colors and is it real paint or acrylic? Paul

Hmmm, clearly not that rusty! Thanks Harley! The rustiness came out in the progress, forgetting steps, simple rules, backtracking. Remembering things that used to be automatic.

Very nice! Paint is well done too. Where did you find the RLM colors and is it real paint or acrylic? Paul Thanks Paul! You can get RLM colors in several different paint lines, just depends on what you like to use. I've shied away from acrylics because of all the reviews about some difficulty in laying it down, undependable results. Plusses are good color, easy cleanup. Enamels have good color, but harder to clean the airbrush. Lacquers lay down great, good color, easy cleanup, but some complain about odor and toxicity. This is something new, a lacquer base with acrylic color pigments. All the best of acrylics and lacquers in one. Lays down great, dries fast, dependable results, great color, easy cleanup, almost no odor- I just love it! Hope it never goes away and I have to find something else again. You almost can't get Mr. Paint (MRP) (not to be confused with Mr. Color) in hobby shops, only online. Either direct from the source, Slovakia, or where I get mine- Sprue Brothers Models. Usually more in stock than the company, and superfast delivery, standard; I got mine in three days. I love the Tamiya cement, never used it before- great hold, fast drying, use less, neater and cleaner. LOVE the new airbrush. All in one, don't have to drag a compressor out, no fooling with hoses. Charge lasts far longer than I need to paint, it's just real handy.

Looks good nice to see you airbrushing Just out of curiosity what airbrush is that Thanks Joe! Some of these portable airbrushes started out for applying makeup and face paint, etc. and branched out for other uses. I researched a lot of brands before I bought this one- good reviews, features, longer lasting charge time. This one is the I-Beautee 27PSI Airbrush kit, currently $59 on Amazon.
