I'm still not convinced the real thing adds anything to the original design (I think it's because, to my eyes, the roofline looks too low for the rest of the body) but full marks for taking on a project like this!

OK, after some quick internetting I realised that the "real thing" is actually Photoshopped! D'oh! So, on the basis that we're into anything is possible territory here, I looked more closely at the image to see what was visually jarring (to my eyes at least!). I now think it's the way that the bottom of the side windows have been left as just a straight edge rather than making them blend into the flow of the Coke bottle shape which runs from the A pillar to the tail. For me, removing the straight edge would do two things: it would give the body back the flow which the roadsters had (they hid that straight edge much better) and give the side windows less of a letter box look. Other opinions are, of course, equally valid!
Either way, this is a great project!

I plan on mimicking the upper body line on the bottom of the window openings, it was something that bugged me but couldn't see was exactly it was until you mentioned it. I also have the V12 engine from the Revell XJ-220 kit for it.

That's going to give this puppy some major grunt! Much as I think E Types should only ever have spoke wheels, that might be asking a lot with the sort of power that engine can produce!

Wires belong on it. In the real world the wheels would be Crager Weld Wire wheels. No nipples, 100% welded with thicker spokes. The 15 x 7 would easily take 500 H.P.

Did some engine mods, added the Paxton supercharger and made up the piping. I did move the battery to the right side and air cleaner can to the left. I was intending a V12 but wouldn't fit with out the entire front chassis made from scratch. Did the final reshape of the nose, pretty pleased with the look. Paul

Still heading in the right direction! Personally, I'd go for BRG but then I am a purist!
