Tribute Van

There were several challenges that I had committed to in the last few years, that I didn't complete because of the massive overtime at work in the last few years of work. I've been intending to try to complete those (long after the deadlines- but, better late than NEVER). I always was talking with Rick about what we might build, for this or that challenge. When I mentioned what van I'd build, I told him this body- once again, we had picked the same! So he deferred to me, and picked something else. I had hinted that it was going to be something to do with our group, but didn't tell him what. I wish I'd finished it while he was still with us. So we started the challenge end of 2018, I already had the body and donor kit, I got on the net and downloaded some images and created my decals. Got the body and chassis/engine parts painted, and then it SAT in a box. AMT released a 1940 Ford delivery with the same image I created my decals with- phooey! Oh well.
This is a Jimmy Flintstone resin body, the guts of the Little Red Wagon, homemade decals. I might not have executed it perfectly, but I hope you'll accept it as the heartfelt tribute to Rick and all our group here. At the time I made the decals, I was closest to a few of you- but in the last two years I've come to know and be friends with several more of you; I would've gladly included all of you in the decals (but for the space needed!), so please consider yourselves included in that gratitude to YOU.
I picked Moe for Rick, as he was the founder of our group. It turns out, with the dark hair, that was another good reason. As for You, Joe and Harley, I have no clue what you look like (you could be purple Martians with mohawks, for all I know) so I just picked one for each of you. As for me, I picked a guy I'm particularly fond of (though I love them all).
I hope you like it- comments welcome.
