Mikoyan Gurevich MiG 15 from the Korean War. The MiG 15 was developed from captured German technology, and looked startlingly like the Focke-Wulf Ta 183, but using bought Rolls Royce aircraft engines. First flew in 1948, then flown in Korea by Korean, Chinese, and Soviet pilots. Many different paint schemes, this is an example of one. No wires as usual- no magic dust collectors. First pic is of the Focke-Wulf Ta 183, so you can see the influence. Notice the swept wings, that was just starting out. For some reason, the camera isn't really picking up the full camo- there are three colors of mottling on the base color- you can see all of one, some little of the second, and almost none of the third- oh well. You can see it clearly without the camera. (Time for a new one? I don't know.)

Camouflage which fools the camera? I'd say that's pretty good!

Great build of an iconic aircraft. I got to see one up close when we lived in Scottsdale. Someone there owned a MiG-15bis and on occasions would leave the hangar doors open and that left the little fighter visible to the public. Unlike your gorgeous model, the MiG in Scottsdale was not painted, it was in its unpainted metal. I like your model better, as it shows the unique, mottled paint jobs that were applied to these little fighters. That is an outstanding build, great work my friend.

Glad you liked it, John! I plan on doing doing some MiG 15s and 21s in several different countries and camo schemes in the future,
