Hemi Hustler
This is a boxstock, boxart build of a vintage (1967) kit from my stash. It's been reissued many times, most of the time with the Hemi Under Glass decals. I'll probably do one of those versions sometime, but I really wanted to get this done, as you rarely see them built in this version.
I had a rare weird reaction with the paint and the clear the first time, so I had to scrap it and start over. Not perfect, but I think it came out ok; still a few boo boos along the way. I did just a tad more detail than I normally do; I didn't use foil, I tried a Gundam chrome pen for the first time. I used aftermarket replacement decals, as the originals were a bit iffy. Tamiya True White and Brilliant Blue, two coats of Testor's Wet Look clear. As usual, some odd reflections in the paint, I take pics outside under the porch cover.
