Fantasy AWB My Dad had one of these, a '64, beige/creme with brown leather or leather-like seats. I liked it. I thought about replicating it, but I just don't do stock- drag it is! Stock '64 Olds 442 Cutlass turned into an AWB. I also used some of the custom bumpers and parts, molded them into the body. Testors gold and emerald paint, miscellaneous decals from Slixx and others. Windows done with Gundam marker. Definitely not my best work. I had the devil of a time with the paint and clear on this one, had to strip the paint, resand and reprime; after the paint and clear, had to sand the clear and clear again. I'm getting real sick of Testors products, unreliable results. I have a lot of it still in my supply, but I just feel like throwing it all out, so frustrating! Not perfect but it's done and on the shelf- comments welcome. Stormy weather coming out on the back porch, strange reflections in the paint.

1. Full marks for thinking outside the box in terms of subject matter. 2. Full marks for persevering with the paint, and the colours are an inspired combo IMHO. 3. Full marks for nailing the necessary AWB stance and bodywork. 4. Marks off for no engine shot!

4. Marks off for no engine shot! Sorry about that, Harley! I glued the hood shut before I thought about taking pics...
The whole ordeal with the paint just got me so pissed, I wanted it done and out the door to get on with the next build...which is coming right along!

I do use Tamiya paint (much better than Testors), just not always- I still have a lot of Testors to use up. The final paint came out ok, it was just getting to that point that was frustrating!

Very nicely done ... altered wheelbase bodywork is exceptional ... what did you use for a chassis ?
