What If AWB GTO

[DAVE "THE DUKE" ARMSTRONG]

This is one of several Knafel Pontiac cars I plan on doing. I have the original Firebird kit (which I'll get to sometime) and several sets of decals. What if Knafel Pontiac had raced other, different kinds of cars? I have plans for them- this one, what if they raced an AWB?

Stock '67 GTO turned into an AWB. I've had the decals for some time, can't remember who made them. Stock chassis and interior was altered also, Speed City drag parts, parts box wheels and tires. Light Metallic Blue paint from Tamiya. Sorry for the lighting, it appears just a tad darker than it is. In progress engine shot, for Harley!

i) your ability to totally smooth out what must have been some serious body work, and
ii) remember an engine shot!

Thanks Harley!There's no secret to smoothing out the body- after the cutting, it's all the time of fill and sand, fill and sand; prime to check work, do it more. But if it's done right, it DOES look good!

Thanks Pete! I really enjoy creating something you can't just buy in a kit- something that involves surgery and/or kitbashing. I still enjoy building something straight out of a box, but there's a lot more fun and excitement in something you "create"!

Lots more builds coming- including doing more AWBs, altereds, funnys, dune stuff, showrods and planes.

That is a gorgeous build Dave ... I can't imagine altering the wheelbase on the body and also altering the stock chassis and interior ... your modeling prowess is way out of my league
