This is another of the original 5 old AMT dune buggy kits. It is rare, but the basic components are not; it's basically just their '25 T, with a roll bar and different tires. If you wanted to recreate this, it wouldn't be too hard- need to make the roll bar, but you might have to settle for some different tires- they're an odd size, as far as I can tell only used in a couple of these dune kits, never seen them anywhere else. I went for the boxart look. Two things about it- in the boxart, the headers are like what's in their '25 T kits; but what's in the kit, they are much shorter...so I dug up some headers from the '25 T from the parts box, and used those, match the boxart. The other thing is, I have built so many of the '25 Ts that it's like building from memory, you know? Didn't really look at the box except to note the color. I didn't notice all through the building and taking pics, until I went to post, that I noticed that the "tank" lever/handle is on the opposite side; just habit, whenever I build the '25 T I always put it on the driver's side. Oh well. Comments welcome.

Love seeing old, rare stuff getting built up so it's a big thumbs up from me!
Also, it looks like some artistic licence got used on the box art as there doesn't appear to be much of a gap between the body and the engine but on the kit there's room for a V12 up there!

That's definitely a strange kit, but your building is again outstanding. Great work Dave.
