Another one of the original old AMT sand buggys/rails. This is one of the rare ones, though not the rarest yet. You could recreate it by using the Hippie Hemi, Garlit's Wynns Jammer, or Hemishere chassis- all with a few changes- like moving the seat for the driver up front, add a roll bar, build a steering mechanism, some other small changes including the flag and pole. Not impossible. Built boxart style; comes in black plastic, so I left it like that, a few small paint details. Comes with a sand display like the Sandkat, I left it in the box, unused. Comments welcome. Thanks to Joe, for catching that I didn't FINISH stretching the blower belt over the top pulley- if you look close, the belt is there, but not put on all the way. Man, sure shows I'm no pro! LOL! New pics added to show it completed-

Thanks for catching that about the belt- I went and looked, and, sure enough, it was there but not hooked over the top pulley. You can see it in the earlier pics, if you look close. I'm willing to bet that when I was working on it, I was interrupted by the wife to do something, and never got back to it. New pics added to show the "finished" belt. Sure, sure, blame the wife! That's the ticket! LOL!

Great looking build Dave ... and it looks even better with a complete blower belt ... your chassis build is amazing, as most all of your sub-assemblies are ... great work again sir.
