This is the last of the 5 rare old AMT sand buggy/rails, the rarest one, a bit more rare than the Sand Hog. I haven't seen one of these on Ebay in probably 4 or more years; there WAS an auction of most of the parts, no box this year. Probably easier to recreate than others, it uses the Dragula chassis, engine, wheels, and headers (reversed). The tires are not uncommon, so you would need a dualie real wheel set, and create a tall roll bar- not very hard. Built as a boxart build, no extra detail. Comments welcome!

I remember seeing the box art for this many years ago (never seen a built up until now!) and wondering what had AMT used as the basis? I had to squint long and hard before I twigged that I was actually looking at the bones of a Dragula!
A truly fantastic series Dave, thanks for bringing them to life.

It IS very cool box art on this series. I'll be pulling more rare kits out of my hat (or, somewhere else!) soon, but first I have some more drag builds coming. Come to think of it, one of those is somewhat rare, about 50 years old. I'm not stopping now, more cool stuff will be in the pipeline!

You're welcome, glad you're enjoying them! I've never seen anyone build this set before, think I may be the first- just like years ago, when I built the ZZR and then the entire original Trick Trike series. Several people have built both now. I think I built maybe the second One-Arm Bandit. These kits are not to sit on; I didn't get to build a LOT of them while working, but I built some; now, retired, they're gonna be blowing out the door before I get too old to build anymore.
