Mint kit from my stash, but it had SEVERE tire burns on both the front and back glass- a lot of sanding and polishing to get down that deep. The decals looked ok, but on this decades old kit, I didn't trust them; my favorite decal maker Chuck came out with a set, so I went with them. Molded in the separate front fenders. Headers, front and rear bumpers, blower scoop are all Revell Chrome spray. A mix of Tamiya Yellow and Champagne Gold to paint the body. Sorry Harley, I was test fitting the body, tin work, and chassis when I finally got it right- and I thought, "quick- the glue while it's in place!" Then, right after- it came to me- shoot, the camera! No engine shot, darn it- I'm gonna be docked points for that one! They made different versions of this; the Multi-Maverick, and the War Horse- I much prefer this, as it is more of a straight funny car. This, the Jolly Roger, is a somewhat rare kit, and I've hardly ever seen it built. Not perfect, but I'm ok with it. Comments welcome!

I'll let you off the points docking this time Dave as I've got a pretty good idea what's under the body!
MPC certainly got some mileage out of those moulds and, just to be pedantic, given that the Multi Maverick was supposed to be either an Altered or a Gasser (depending on the wheelbase) I wonder how accurate this is as a Funny Car ?

Thanks for not dinging me on the engine shot, Harley! Actually, if I'd remembered in time to shoot the engine and chassis, it would have answered your questions. I don't really know why it's thought that these kits are related, they're really quite different. The only parts that they seem to share is the body- and there are no options for the fenders on this one, and doesn't have the hood scoop as an option, so the front glass is also different. Some engine parts are different, and different headers too.Tin work is slightly different, the suspension and chassis are completely different- the MultiMaverick/Warhorse are more like the Miss Deal, the chassis, engine, suspension, roll cage, everything on this one is a normal funny car. Roll bar, seating, seating pan, wheelie bars, everything is different on the Multi - like I said, more like the Miss Deal; now I REALLY wish I'd taken shots of it. Dang it.
Still, I hope you liked it.
